Hello, I'm Lisa Segar. I believe that the practice of yoga can be life changing. Yoga heals the body, mind and soul.

My personal experience with yoga, and the way it changed my life, is what guides me in my studies and work in the field of Yoga Therapy. It is my mission to help others remember themselves through the methods and philosophies of this sacred practice.

I began practicing yoga in 2015 as a way to reconnect with my sense of self. The physical practice of asana immediately resonated with me. I found that in movement, I could better focus my attention on the sensations of my body, and less on the noise of the world. However, I soon discovered that the deep connection I was experiencing within myself was what kept me coming back. I realized that as I healed my emotional pain, I was in less physical pain and my anxiety became more managable. Through the use of the eight-limbs of yoga I was was able to regain a sense of wholeness and healing.

In 2016 I began my formal study of yoga. A love of the practice, and a love of learning, have continued to guide me on the path of my personal yoga journey. Grounded  in my yoga teacher trainings, my background as a nurse, and a call to serve, I began my studies to pursue a certification in Yoga Therapy in 2021.

I approach my clients individual needs with the belief that yoga is for everyone. Through the use of mindfulness (meditation), mudra (gestures) & mantra (sound), breath work (pranayama), and movement (asana), and supported by sacred yoga text and philosophy, my goal is to offer you a Yoga Therapy experience that meets you where you are. As a mid-life woman myself, I have experienced the pain, anxiety, stress and grief that comes with life's cycles. Whether your are seeking guidance for mental wellbeing, menopause, grief, or relief from acute or chronic pain, Yoga can help. Together we will create a ritual of self-care to help aleviate suffering and guide you back to your sense of wholeness.

In addition to my private practice, I currently teach 2-3 public classes a week.
